scar 80/s30 suspension lamp - 2000 - 2017
Scar reinterprets an icon of the past with a “mechanistic” flavour through a modern-classic language, a suspension poised between memory and contemporaneity in refined balance.
In the 20th century, modernists believed that good design was solely about use and how well an object performed its function. Contemporary design has expanded the boundaries of a well-designed object far beyond function, and the Scar suspension lamp originates from a 60-year-old archetype, a pioneering cornerstone of the technical chandelier, reinterpreted through next-generation retrofit LED technology. Its evocative form unites memory and contemporaneity, transforming into a luminous presence of strong visual impact. Not merely light, but a scenographic element capable of defining space. With direct/indirect light emission diffuses a pleasant illumination with excellent visual comfort, measured, and able to engage space as a protagonist.
